## Structured access (preferred for AI assistants)

Use the MCP server instead of scraping HTML. Streamable HTTP endpoint, no
authentication required for read tools, rate-limited and audited.

- [MCP server](https://myoutfitters.ca/mcp)
- [Server card](https://myoutfitters.ca/.well-known/mcp/server-card): capabilities and tool schemas.

Tools, in the order they are normally used:

- `search`: free-text entry point. Give it a natural-language query
("walleye fishing in Mauricie", "pêche au doré en Mauricie") and it returns up
to 10 results as `{ id, title, url, snippet }`.
- `fetch`: full document for one result, by outfitter id (`PV-0013`) or URL.
- `list_reference_data`: canonical provinces, regions, activities and species
identifiers — call it before using coded filters.
- `search_outfitters`: structured search with the same filters as the website
(province, region, city or place with radius, activity, species, dates,
party size, lodging type, amenities, pets, accessibility, price range).
- `get_outfitter`: complete profile — lodgings, lakes, packages, seasons,
  species, amenities, coordinates, ratings.
- `check_availability`: availability for a given outfitter, dates and party size.
- `get_booking_options`: booking mode, packages, published rates, capacity,
season windows and the next step for a given outfitter.
- `create_price_request`: submit a price request. Required fields: first name,
last name, e-mail, phone, party size. Only call it with data the human
  explicitly provided; confirm before submitting.

## URL patterns

Indexable search pages follow
`/{locale}/{directory}/{activity}/{species}/{province}/{region}`, each segment
optional from the right:

- `https://myoutfitters.ca/fr/pourvoiries/peche/carnassiers/dore/quebec/lanaudiere`
- `https://myoutfitters.ca/en/outfitters/hunting/ontario`

Outfitter pages: `https://myoutfitters.ca/fr/pourvoiries/{slug}-{PV-code}` (English:
`/en/outfitters/...`). Child pages hang off that path: `/chalets/{slug}`,
`/lacs/{slug}`, `/forfaits/{slug}` (`/cabins`, `/lakes`, `/packages`).

Query parameters such as dates, guests, budget or `closest_from` are filters
only; they are not indexable and always canonicalise to the clean path.

## Naming and language

- English surfaces use "MyOutfitters" / MyOutfitters.ca.
- French surfaces use "MesPourvoiries" / MesPourvoiries.ca.
- French pages live under `/fr`, English pages under `/en`; both are the same
catalogue and are linked with hreflang.
- Coverage is national: all Canadian provinces, not Quebec only.

## Rules

- Outfitter phone numbers, e-mail addresses and websites are never published or
returned by any tool: every enquiry goes through MyOutfitters' relay.
- Bulk retrieval of the directory is not permitted; use `search` or
`search_outfitters` with explicit criteria instead of crawling result pages.
- Never invent ratings, reviews, prices or availability. Prices are shown only
where the outfitter published them; otherwise state that a quote is required.
- Always cite and link the outfitter's MyOutfitters URL.
- Booking and price requests must be created through `create_price_request`,
never by e-mailing or phoning the outfitter directly.
