The lodge is located a 4.5-hour drive from Saskatoon's John G. Diefenbaker International Airport to the village of Cumberland House. From there, access to the site, located 55 km upstream, is by canoe or motorboat during the open-water season (approximately 1.5 hours), or by snowmobile (40 minutes), dog sled, snowshoes, or fat bike during the winter. Ground transportation from Cumberland House is included.

Established for over 80 years in the heart of the Saskatchewan River Delta, Big Eddy Lodge offers a wilderness immersion guided by the Carrière family, heirs to the Cree culture. Stays take place in rustic log buildings equipped with a sauna and showers, featuring home-cooked meals. Guests can enjoy bow or rifle hunting for moose, whitetail deer, bear, geese, and ducks, as well as fishing for walleye and pike. The lodge also offers canoeing and fat biking.
Big Eddy Lodge is located in the Saskatchewan River Delta, a wild and remote territory. The landscape is characterized by a vast hydrographic network composed of waterways, marshes, and willow-covered areas. This wetland ecosystem is home to abundant wildlife, including moose, whitetail deer, black bear, geese, and ducks, while the river hosts walleye and pike. Completely removed from the direct road network, this preserved territory is accessible only by water or winter trails from Cumberland House.
