The territory is located in the country's north, just south of the Arctic Circle, where the boreal forest gives way to tundra and the vast Barren Lands. This isolated sector, marked by GPS coordinates, extends around Aylmer Lake as well as numerous crystal-clear lakes, rivers, and streams. The terrain combines tundra vegetation, wild berries, and pristine northern aquatic environments, offering a setting of total isolation free from urban noise. Access to the facilities is primarily by air via floatplane from Yellowknife or by roads and waterways depending on the specific hunting zones used.
