Located on the shores of Borden Lake in Northern Ontario, Chapleau Lodge welcomes you from May to mid-October for a fishing trip or a family getaway. Accommodations include waterfront cabins, motel units, or rooms in the main lodge. I would have given this lodge five stars, but we didn't fish much. I don't blame either the lodge or the lake… we were there during Memorial Day weekend and the weather was dreadful, which really hurt the fishing. The cabins are superb: clean, well-equipped, and with a nice porch for relaxing. I've stayed at many lodges and John was the most available host and one of the most accommodating I've met. If you come during good weather, this lodge will no doubt become one of your favorite spots in Ontario.

We spent a week at the Sunrise cabin at Chapleau Lodge. It was our first time and it was fantastic! John provides exceptional service! The fishing was excellent! Our 12-hour drive was definitely worth it. I would go back without hesitation!

We spent a week at Chapleau Lodge last May. It was our second stay. I thought I'd write a review, because we are going back at the end of July. Of all the lodges we've been to (at least 15), this one is by far the best. John is an exceptional person. He maintains the lodge to perfection. You always see him keeping busy. Also, CJ, the chef, is remarkable. The food was excellent. The cabins are in good shape. Dogs are welcome. We have a preference for cabin #5, a bit secluded. The view is breathtaking. The fishing is good. You just need to know where to find the good spots. John can inform you. The lake is large and deep. Usually, I look for lodges a 3 or 4 hour drive away. Chapleau Lodge is an 8 hour drive. The trip is truly worth it. I highly recommend this place, whether for a fishing group or a family stay. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks 😊

We just spent three wonderful nights at the Bearclaw cabin at Chapleau Lodge. It was fantastic! The cabin was huge and spotless, and the bed very comfortable. The view of the lake was breathtaking. John was a warm and helpful host. We had dinner there and it was a real treat! The cook (CJ) is excellent. The lake was beautiful and full of fish. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed in the Bear Claw cabin: spacious and clean. John was a wonderful host, always available when needed. CJ and Ash prepared and served our breakfasts and dinners brilliantly. Overall, our stay with friends was a success: we felt comfortable, without a single worry, and had a great time. Even if the fishing wasn't successful, the lake was full of fish. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to get away, whether with family or friends. Thanks Mike
