The hunting territory is located in the Chinchaga River valley, in the heart of Wildlife Management Unit WMU524 in northwestern Alberta. This very remote wilderness area, nicknamed the "Amazon of the North," stretches along the banks of the Chinchaga River. It is located 150 miles northwest of Peace River and 450 miles northwest of Edmonton. Characterized by untamed and seldom-visited nature, the region is home to trophy moose that have sometimes never encountered a human being. This preserved environment offers a raw natural setting for hunting.
