We had camped here before, but it was our first time renting a cabin. It was simply perfect, just as I had imagined it. The wood stove was ideal and the view was magnificent. The owners are wonderful.

I stayed a few days at Fishpot Lake Resort for a business trip. The service was excellent and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches from the owners, like tending to our fires while we were away. Although electricity and Wi-Fi are limited, the cabins were fully equipped thanks to their propane appliances. They offer a magnificent view of Fishpot Lake. I hope to return this summer for a leisure stay.

We were looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life, text messages, emails, and phone calls. We wanted a place to reconnect as a family, and Fishpot Lake Resort met all our expectations. Nestled in the heart of beautiful rolling hills and a gorgeous lake, we found our paradise. Here are a few things I LOVED about Fishpot: For city folks like me, it's the ideal spot. The cabins are fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and bedding. You just need to bring food and something to stretch your legs. No need for a truck to haul everything. Want to fish or just cruise around the lake? You can rent boats, canoes, with or without a motor. For the braver ones, there are hiking trails. We did some and had a lot of fun. Make sure you know how to use a compass or have a way to navigate. There are no marked trails. The area was affected by the 2017 wildfire and is gradually recovering. Mother Nature and the Ministry of Forests are working hard to grow vegetation and replant. Fishpot Lake Resort is about a seven-hour drive from Mission, British Columbia, but every minute spent there is worth the trip. The beauty of the place, the scenery, and the starry night sky make the journey unforgettable. We will be back, for sure! I already miss the beauty and tranquility, even though we only left five hours ago. P.S.: Note to hunters: within two years, hunting will be excellent in this area again.
