Linbarr Lake is a 1,300-acre body of water located west of the Obakamiga River system, into which it flows. Isolated in the wild forest of Foch Township, the lake features four bays (Surprise, Deep, Roaring, and Whitefish) and reaches depths of over 110 feet in its northern section. Water levels and temperatures remain stable. The eastern part of the lake still holds burnt stumps from a 1923 fire. Exclusive access by air or canoe-portage ensures complete seclusion.
