The establishment provides 18-foot cedar boats and offers the traditional shore lunch service. Excursions to over ten portage lakes complete the adventure.

The territory extends along Wabatongushi Lake, a 22-mile long body of water covering over 10,000 acres in the heart of the Chapleau Game Preserve. Le Loch Island Lodge propose de jolis chalets en rondins bien équipés (cuisine/salle de bain avec eau chaude). Le lodge offre une vue imprenable depuis sa terrasse où sont servis le petit-déjeuner et le dîner. Le personnel était exceptionnel et s'est mis en quatre pour que les clients ne manquent de rien. Ils nous ont également donné de précieux conseils sur les meilleurs coins de pêche. Le guide qui nous a accompagnés le premier jour nous a permis de pêcher immédiatement des dorés et des brochets !

Premier voyage de pêche au Canada avec mes frères. Nous avons séjourné sur l'île Otter, dans le grand chalet, et avons passé un séjour inoubliable. Un endroit magnifique, une pêche formidable et Andy était super. Mon frère m'a dit que le personnel était nouveau, mais ils se sont très bien débrouillés. Nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine. À quatre, nous avons attrapé 149 poissons, dont une vingtaine que nous n'avons pas pu remonter.

Nous avons enfin pu profiter d'un voyage en famille que nous avions réservé avant la pandémie. Quelle joie de réaliser enfin notre réservation pour 2023 ! L'endroit est magnifique et séjourner sur une île est une expérience unique. Le personnel est formidable ! Les repas, faits maison, étaient excellents ! Nos enfants adultes ont fait du kayak et du surfboard, et ont aussi pêché au large de l'île le soir. La pêche était parfois fructueuse, mais nous trouvions toujours un ou deux bons coins chaque jour et avons fait de belles prises de dorés. Il n'y avait pas beaucoup de brochets, et ceux que nous avons attrapés étaient plus petits. En résumé, ce furent de superbes vacances en famille, riches en souvenirs. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le personnel et les petits plus inclus ! Merci Andy et Amy !

La pêche est exceptionnelle TOUS LES JOURS ! L'accueil est irréprochable, la cuisine savoureuse, les chalets propres et confortables, les propriétaires aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes, et les bateaux et moteurs, en cèdre massif (et secs), offrent une sécurité optimale quelles que soient les conditions. La faune est spectaculaire !

Nous revenons tout juste d'un séjour de 10 jours au petit chalet d'Otter Island. Tout était merveilleux et conforme à la description. Les lits et le linge de maison étaient très confortables. C'était notre première fois là-bas et nous avons déjà réservé pour juin prochain. La pêche est exceptionnelle. Les bateaux et les moteurs fonctionnaient à merveille. Le personnel et les équipages étaient très sympathiques et toujours disponibles pour fileter nos prises du jour et faire le plein. À deux, nous avons pêché 567 poissons à l'aide d'hameçons sans ardillon, car nous ne gardons que les dorés jaunes que nous voulons pour le dîner. Plusieurs brochets de plus de 75 cm, dont un de 100 cm. C'est la meilleure pêche et le meilleur hébergement que j'aie jamais connus en Ontario et au Québec, y compris dans les pourvoiries accessibles uniquement par hydravion. Tout était conforme à la description.
