The outfitter
McGregor River Outfitters is a family-owned business run by Eric and Monica Hanson, based in Prince George, British Columbia. The outfitter operates across an exclusive 1,740-square-mile territory located in the McGregor River Valley, in the heart of the North Central Rocky Mountains. The establishment offers guided hunting trips for several of the territory's species. Spring black bear hunting, conducted via spot and stalk, is one of the outfitter's primary specialties. In the fall, Canada moose hunting takes place mainly during the rut. Guides employ various methods to locate animals, including glassing, calling, and river drifts. To provide personalized service and maintain harvest quality, McGregor River Outfitters limits the number of hunters welcomed per species each season.
