Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour de trois nuits au lodge. La pêche était excellente : dorés, brochets et lottes. Nous avons aussi attrapé quelques achigans, mais sans les cibler spécifiquement. Le lac offre une grande variété de structures et de choses à découvrir. Nous avions opté pour le bateau supérieur, et le petit supplément en valait vraiment la peine : il était plus rapide et plus stable. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la pêche à la lotte et la rapidité avec laquelle les poissons ont mordu. Zak nous a indiqué précisément où et comment les pêcher, et nous avons attrapé du poisson immédiatement. Le lodge et le chalet sont de charme et disposaient de tout le confort nécessaire. La cabane à poisson était spacieuse, aérée et bien équipée pour un nettoyage impeccable.

C'était ma deuxième année au Canada, et je m'attendais à un séjour rustique et un peu rudimentaire. À ma grande surprise, de ma rencontre avec le propriétaire jusqu'au trajet en navette jusqu'à l'hébergement, tout était propre et bien organisé. La pêche était absolument exceptionnelle ! Le Wi-Fi était toujours disponible au lodge, et on nous a même donné des conseils de pêche qui nous ont permis de faire des prises incroyables. Si vous envisagez un séjour de pêche inoubliable au Canada, n'hésitez pas à découvrir le Walleye Lodge !

Nous sommes venus au Northern Walley Lodge il y a trois ans. Je pêche au Canada depuis 23 ans, toujours dans un endroit différent. Nous y sommes retournés l'an dernier et nous venons tout juste de rentrer du Northern Walleye Lodge vendredi dernier. Nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine. Warren, Mel et Zak sont des hôtes exceptionnels ! La pêche est excellente, les installations sont superbes et ils se démènent pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Zak est toujours de bon conseil pour savoir exactement où jeter sa ligne et quel appât utiliser. Leurs bateaux sont les meilleurs que nous ayons jamais utilisés et l'équipement est toujours à la pointe de la technologie. Chaque année, nous rencontrons de nouveaux amis là-bas et aussi sur le lac. Lorsque nous sommes sur le lac, les locaux nous demandent de saluer Warren et Mel de leur part. Ce sera peut-être notre destination annuelle habituelle désormais.

Je suis allé au Northern Walleye Lodge à deux reprises (mai 2023 et juin 2025). Lors de notre premier séjour, notre groupe (4 amis) a logé à l'Island Camp, situé sur un îlot séparé du bâtiment principal. Bien équipé et intime, il offre une vue imprenable sur le lac. Seul bémol : les toilettes sèches, propres et bien construites (rien de bien gênant), et la nécessité de prendre un bateau pour se rendre au lodge afin de prendre une douche. Autre inconvénient : les échanges avec les autres pêcheurs sont moins fréquents le soir, ce qui peut entraîner des pertes de précieux conseils ! Cette fois-ci, nous (2 amis) avons séjourné dans un chalet du lodge. Lui aussi était bien équipé, propre et confortable. Nettoyer le poisson le soir en compagnie d'autres personnes, et partager nos anecdotes, était très sympa. Zak nous a donné d'excellents conseils sur les meilleurs endroits et techniques de pêche, notamment sur la pêche à la lotte, une expérience très agréable. Les bateaux mis à disposition étaient plus que suffisants (ils sont quasiment neufs) et nous avons exploré le lac sans aucun souci. Warren et Melanie sont des hôtes formidables et je recommande vivement ce lodge.

Notre famille a passé une semaine au Northern Walleye Lodge début juillet et nous n'avons que des éloges à faire ! Du confort et de la propreté du chalet au bateau mis à disposition, en passant par l'accueil chaleureux de Warren et Melanie et la pêche, nous avons passé une semaine formidable et avons déjà réservé pour la semaine prochaine. Cet endroit offre un équilibre parfait entre détente et pêche de qualité ! Il y en a pour tous les goûts 😊
