Nice place to buy souvenirs, the staff was friendly we went there in the month of July 2026 and the gas tanks were under repair

We took a detour to Tunnel Lake Trading Post and the experience was simply perfect. The owner was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to help us. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help, this is exactly the kind of person you hope to meet. A great place with good products and even better people. Highly recommend.

We spent the winter here, living off our sailboat, and Jon was the only motel owner around willing to take us on a monthly basis. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed. The room was clean, modern, and quiet, with amenities worthy of a junior suite rather than a standard room with two queen beds. It was obvious that the design had been carefully thought out. The owner and staff even allowed me to tour other rooms, and I was delighted to see the same level of attention and care throughout the property. Jon and his wife really bailed us out of a difficult situation. Our boat needed major repairs and we couldn't head south as planned. They went out of their way to ensure we were warm, safe, and had everything we needed, all at a reasonable price. There is also an outdoors store nearby that carried most of the items we needed, with the option to order the rest. If they treat a customer this way, I can easily imagine the standard of excellence they maintain for everyone. We will definitely be back, this time for a real vacation, to take advantage of the guided hunting trips we didn't have the budget for this time. We will also recommend this place to all our fellow sailors and everyone we meet upon our return to Toronto. To Jon, his wife, and the whole team: thank you. It was truly worth it, and honestly, you deserved so much more. To everyone reading this: make a stop here. You won't regret it.

A small group of motorcycle enthusiasts made the trip up from the Greater Toronto Area to enjoy the Algoma roads, including the Queue du Dragon route in Ontario. We needed a base camp and this little gem was perfect. The rooms, admittedly rustic and far from Hilton comfort, were clean and comfortable, with hot showers. The staff is extremely friendly and were firing up the BBQ when we arrived, after riding for over two hours in pouring rain. The well-stocked store offers most everyday necessities. Groceries, clothing, LCBO beverages, and much more: you'll find everything you need, and maybe even things you forgot. Finally, it's worth noting that the store offers premium fuel for motorcyclists, as well as regular fuel.
