Tyler took my son and me ice fishing for lake trout. We had a great day: we caught some beautiful lake trout as well as numerous yellow perch. An experienced angler, Tyler was a wonderful guide. We will definitely go back to Sault-Sainte-Marie and take Tyler with us again!

Like most people, I was always hesitant to go fishing with a guide. After debating for years about the benefits of a guided trip on the fisheries of Sault Ste. Marie, I took the plunge and reached out to Tyler Dunn on Instagram. I had heard about Tyler from various sources, but what really made me want to choose him was the footage on "The New Fly Fisher" (not to mention all his great catches he posts on Instagram). My friend and I made the five-hour drive south to Sault Ste. Marie and the next morning, we got up early to meet Tyler at the boat launch. We spent the morning fishing for rainbow trout and missed a few fish. My friend and I broke the record for the most snagged bait and tackle, but Tyler was always very patient and ready to rig our rods as we went along. After lunch, we tackled the rapids, which can seem intimidating for someone as novice at river fishing as we were, but Tyler helped us explore every part of the river and, shortly after, we were catching Chinook and Coho salmon. We learned more than we could have imagined and had a blast. If you're hesitating to book a trip, don't hesitate. Go for it!

Amazing Family Experience. Our Family visited Sault Ste Marie on a road trip. Tyler was easy to communicate and arranged a customized experience for our family with 3 kids. He was very helpful the entire time and had lots of patience for my sons' many questions. Each of the kids even got to ride a boat which was a thrill. We got some great pictures and made some great memories. Thank you Tyler!
