the reservoir thanks to a watercraft rental service offering traditional canoes, sea kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, group rabaskas, and motorboats (holding up to 3 people) ideal for reaching fishing spots and distant bays. Rental formats are available in three options: 1 hour for a quick initiation near shore, half-day to explore nearby islands, or full-day for a complete expedition on the reservoir. Aventures Kiamika is a nature ecolodge outfitter set on the north point of Réservoir Kiamika, in the heart of a biodiversity reserve in the Hautes-Laurentides (Rivière-Rouge). The territory offers more than 52 km² of water dotted with wild islands and fine-sand beaches, reachable by road and by air. The unique waterside lodging spans modern-design tiny houses, spacious chalets for families and groups, ready-to-camp glamping tents, and camping and RV sites closest to the water — a canoe is included with most stays. On the experiences side: guided sustainable Northern Pike fishing (catch-and-release initiation), guided canoe outings to the hidden bays,
nature yoga retreats, stargazing nights (Perseids) and watercraft rental (canoe, sea kayak, paddleboard, boat and traditional rabaska). You can also arrive by seaplane from the Sainte-Véronique hydrobase (packages operated with Air Mont-Laurier) for full immersion. A destination for nature stays, lakeside getaways and group events in a wild, silent setting.
It all started in 2016, when we took over the reins of the “Chez Nounours” outfitting operation established on the shores of Réservoir Kiamika. At the time, the site was already known for the quality of its territory, but we had a deep desire to breathe new life into this exceptional place.
Aventures Kiamika is located in Rivière-Rouge, in the Laurentians, on the north point of Réservoir Kiamika. Access is via Chemin de l’Ours, from the Sainte-Véronique area and along Chemin du lac McCaskill. The outfitter is open year-round. Its official website recommends not using Waze, as GPS directions can be inaccurate in the forest.
Aventures Kiamika is located in the heart of a natural environment surrounding Réservoir Kiamika and a boreal forest. Wildlife watching is among the activities offered. The territory is home in particular to the common loon, the bald eagle, the white-tailed deer, the gray wolf, and the black bear. These species are featured on Aventures Kiamika’s official site among the biodiversity observable in the area.

Frankly, we had a blast! The staff is top-notch, always there when needed, great vibe guaranteed. The area is gorgeous, you completely disconnect. The activities are super fun, we loved the motorboat rides on the lake. Time just flew by! The evenings were really nice too, great atmosphere around the campfire with the whole group. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, you feel really comfortable. And waking up in the morning with the view of the lake is something you won't forget anytime soon. We're definitely coming back. Thanks to the whole team ❤️

Magnificent place!!! Super friendly staff, I love the facilities, there's something for everyone (cabins, ready-to-camp units, campsites and even a tiny house) and you can go fishing, hiking, and several watercraft are available (and affordable!) to rent: motorboat, kayak, paddleboard, canoe, and even rabaskas! Among other things, we got to see tons of blue jays, rabbits, chipmunks, impressive bald eagles nesting nearby, great blue herons, families of Canada geese, hear wolves in the distance, and wake up in the morning to the call of the loons. What more could you ask for?! Oh yes, sunrises and sunsets as wonderful as the starry night sky. (Go to the beach in the evening to check it out, it's well worth it...!) It's paradise for nature-loving humans and also for dogs, who are more than welcome!

Great discovery for this place cut off from the world !!! You have to earn this place. No cell service, no water, no electricity, a true break from the outside world. The ready-to-camp units are very well equipped, spacious. The landscapes are just magnificent, the forest, the reservoir... Water activities are great to explore the shores of the reservoir !! It's missing a warmer welcome, a better-stocked convenience store. Too bad there is a lot of litter, between cans and cigarette butts, it's really sad. We will come back because the place is just beautiful
