Having frequented Bamfield for fishing since 1980, I have witnessed its slow evolution. The Bamfield Lodge is a unique spot on the west coast of Vancouver Island. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. The lodge is clean and extremely comfortable. Excellent anchorage, water access, and water taxi service from across the inlet. If you fish, they will handle the processing of your catch. I highly recommend the Bamfield Lodge if you dream of an unforgettable trip. Pat

The Bamfield Lodge offers exceptional accommodation in an idyllic setting. Recently renovated, it offers all the comfort one could wish for in a charming fishing village. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches like the spices, the barbecue, and the patio table and chairs. The bed was incomparably comfortable. The dock and fish cleaning stations were spotless and I loved the seating. Our fish was packaged exactly as we wanted. All of our questions were answered quickly. I can't wait to go back soon.

This is our second time staying at the Bamfield Lodge. The beds are very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, spices, and all the basics to prepare your own meals. We spent two days fishing and added the fish packaging and processing service to our package. I highly recommend this service: they use high-quality vacuum seal bags to perfectly preserve the catch. Overall, the service is faultless and we will definitely continue booking our stays at the lodge in the years to come.

Our stay at the Bamfield Lodge was simply perfect and idyllic. It was the ideal spot for our blended family group (two kids, the parents, and a young uncle and aunt couple): a multitude of activities were offered for all ages and tastes. We stayed in the main building, "Halibut House". Conveniently located on the Bamfield boardwalk, close to everything and everyone, it offered stunning views of the water and the bay. Furthermore, it was very clean, very comfortable and cozy, and had all the necessary amenities and supplies. The staff were extremely attentive and did everything to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. They always responded quickly, recommended great activities, and helped us make the most of our stay in Bamfield. We will definitely be back and want to thank Shayla, Matt, Marcella, and the entire Bamfield community for this unforgettable experience!

This was our first visit to Bamfield and it is gorgeous. We felt right at home during our stay at the lodge. I couldn't ask for better hosts than Shayla and Matt. The lodge was charming and clean, and offered everything needed to prepare our meals and sleep comfortably. I don't want to forget the breathtaking view. We also chartered a boat with Matt and he did not disappoint. We limited out on our halibut and salmon and got to see some wildlife along the way. We will definitely return to the lodge!
