Burntwood Lake Lodge and its staff are absolutely exceptional! Apart from trips with family and close friends, this stay was by far the best of my life! I can't thank everyone enough for their hospitality and dedication. Tammy was a great help at the lodge (and Jerry too, as we learned we were from the same area and it was a pleasure to get to know them). Izzy went above and beyond to make sure we didn't lack anything for a day on the boat or in the blind, and her engaging personality and ability to have fun while working made this stay very enjoyable. Michel is not only an excellent cook, but also a great person with a great sense of humour. Randy, although he wasn't our guide, was a huge help with his hunting advice, as well as the recovery and skinning of my bear. Thank you all for your help. Paige, our guide, is phenomenal. She put in endless effort to help us find fish and give us the best chances of harvesting a bear. My friend and I both succeeded, and Paige was just as enthusiastic as we were. I was lucky enough to be guided directly by Paige and to take part in the bear hunt. For me, the way things unfolded was pure luck, but it was an incredible experience to be able to share it, because the bear was already there when we arrived by boat. Plus, her sense of humour lightened the mood when I was starting to worry about not getting my bear (I finally succeeded on the last day). On a trip like this, nothing is ever guaranteed. I can say without hesitation that this trip would have been extraordinary even without hunting. I could talk for hours about this group, the lodge, and the location. I highly recommend it: it's a trip I will never forget. Thank you again for everything!

If we could, we would give 6 stars! We just got back from an unforgettable family vacation. This family-run resort is run by a great team, with a beautiful lake and an abundance of fish. We caught and released countless walleye, several pike over 75 cm, and enjoyed a delicious walleye shore lunch every day. We also caught a few very large perch. The guides know where to find the fish and guarantee a successful day, whatever your level. The food is great and the beds are comfortable. We can't wait to go back soon!
