A family outfitting operation since February 3, 1952 Club Paradis Sauvage was incorporated as a corporation under the Hunting and Fishing Clubs Act on February 3, 1952. Initially a private club, it was owned by five founding members: Georges Desrochers of Forestville, Bertrand Fournier, Paul-Émile St-Pierre, Ulysse Émond and Paul-Émile Émond of Portneuf-sur-Mer. According to the descendants of the founding members, it is to Germina Fournier, the wife of Bertrand Fournier, that we owe the name Club Paradis Sauvage. Mrs. Fournier was seated in front of Quinn Lake and exclaimed: “It's so beautiful, it’s paradise! It’s wild paradise!” The owners
had also considered the name Paradis de l’orignal, but in the end, the name Paradis Sauvage was chosen.
Nestled atop mountains on the Côte-Nord, the Club Paradis Sauvage territory covers 40 km², just 41 kilometers from Portneuf-sur-Mer. It is located just west of the rare Forêt de la Rivière-Portneuf, in the heart of a forest environment made up of conifers and hardwoods. The property includes 15 lakes, including the large Lac Quinn, which is easily accessible by car, ATV, or on foot. To explore the entire territory and reach the more remote lakes, using an ATV is recommended.
Club Paradis Sauvage features 15 lakes teeming with indigenous speckled trout. A top fishing destination, Club Paradis Sauvage offers diverse sport fishing that caters to all types of anglers. Some lakes have smaller trout that bite quite easily, while other lakes offer large specimens that are more challenging to hook.
