I stayed at lac Dog with my family for nearly a week. The cabin was spotless and offered a breathtaking view of the lake. I don't remember sleeping in a place so quiet and peaceful. The mattress was excellent, which is very important to me. Paul, the owner, is very laid-back and responded to all our requests. He even lent us a few lures and hooks that allowed us to make some nice catches. The fishing was pretty good, but I think I arrived a bit late for the best smallmouth bass period. The walleye fishing was excellent. This place is neither touristy nor luxurious, it's simply an ideal place to fish and relax with family. It was perfect! Paul really did everything to ensure we had a great stay, which is rare these days. I highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to take a great trip to Ontario at a very affordable price.

It was our very first trip to Canada and to Dog Lake Resort. We were delighted with our experience. Arriving at the end of September, Paul was an exceptional host, very welcoming, and his resort is truly wonderful. The fishing was excellent: we caught a lot of walleye and smallmouth bass. The cabins are very clean and make the stay very comfortable. Once again, Paul is an exceptional host; he was there to help us with everything we needed. As mentioned by other travellers, the access road was difficult, but once at the lake, you quickly forget it. We loved this trip so much that we decided to come back every year.

We love going to this camp for a summer break away from the city, in southern Ontario. We've been coming here as a family since 2012! The cabins are rustic and offer all the necessary comforts. The view is absolutely magnificent, right in front of your porch. Paul, the owner, and his team are helpful, kind, and resourceful.
