We were a group of six and signed up for a hunt with Hunt Dyer Outfitters at the South Florida Outdoors Show. Having never hunted bear in Canada before, and after meeting Dan and Chris, we knew they were the right outfitter for us. But what I enjoyed most was not having to get up early after staying up late. We had plenty of time to go fishing during the day and still hunt in the evening. As for the outfitters, it's hard to describe how hard they work to make sure you see action. I chose not to harvest the bears I spotted because I was looking for a very specific one. However, I had plenty of opportunities to take a nice bear. Chris and Danny know their territory inside out. They really take the time to check all their bait sites and trail cameras to know where the bears are and do everything possible to put you in the best position so you can get what you're looking for. The food was excellent and plentiful. We never went hungry. The accommodations were very comfortable and the staff made us feel right at home. It was a great hunt and an even better vacation. We will definitely be back!

If I had to sum up my experience at Dyer in a single word, I would say "love". Love is palpable here. Love of hunting. Love of the land. Love of the hosts. Love of the work that makes the hunt possible and of what comes after. These people love what they do and it shows at every moment. They have the know-how because they've already done what you're hoping to do here, and the proof is displayed on the lodge walls. They are genuine people who do everything they can to ensure you have a successful hunt. The lodge is a true haven of peace, far from the impersonal feel of a hotel room. History fills the hallways and, once settled in, you'll understand that you've discovered a truly exceptional place. Book your hunting trip. If you regret it, it's because you came with the wrong mindset, a lack of humility, or inflated expectations.

We went to Dyer for the opening week of the spring 2025 bear hunt and had a great time. The bears weren't coming out at first and the guides worked tirelessly to have us try different spots. In the end, the four of us saw four bears. I highly recommend the whole team.

This was my best bear hunting experience ever. It was great chatting with the other hunters, the food was excellent, the lodge perfect, and the guides were all very friendly. Todd and Scott were our guides; they were really pleasant and attentive, and they worked hard to give us a shot at the biggest specimens. There were 17 hunters in camp and everyone either shot a bear or missed a shot. I've been on many guided hunts and I can tell you that this one is truly exceptional. The guides and owners care deeply about your success and work tirelessly to achieve it!

We are planning another hunting trip to Dyer hunting camp next year. Dyer hunting camp has been a family business for 65 years. It's the best way to make your dreams come true. Our group of 9 had a wonderful trip with the outfitters at Dyer hunting camp. We all saw bears and got lucky. This is a trip not to be missed, you won't regret it. The excitement and adrenaline are contagious. The lodge is a must-see. Very comfortable and relaxing. Their cooks are excellent and everything is homemade. A real treat! The guides are completely dedicated to your hunt and your success.
