★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had an unforgettable fly-in fishing experience on the Ivanhoe River/Lake, 26 nautical miles from Chapleau, and I am eager to share my stay at Henderson Outpost! First of all, I have to say that this trip was a dream come true for my father, his long-time friend Mike, and me. Coordinating many details was required, but the result was truly worth it. Nostalgia overwhelmed my father as memories of his years flying the Beaver in Northern Ontario came flooding back: the sound of the engine, the smell of exhaust. It was a precious moment that added an extra dimension to our adventure. The Henderson Outpost camp was absolutely exceptional! Its rustic ambiance offered all the necessary comfort. The Delco generator ensured a continuous power supply for us, and the refrigerator, running water for a full bathroom with shower, and every imaginable utensil made us feel right at home. The presence of a television and a Bose soundbar seemed superfluous given the exceptional setting, but it was a nice touch. Not to mention the Keurig coffee maker: the ideal breakfast! The weather was magnificent throughout our week. Clear skies, bright sunshine, and perfect temperatures made our stay even more enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for better conditions. Now let's talk about the fishing: it was simply exceptional! The Ivanhoe River/Lake is a true fisherman's paradise. We spent unforgettable moments fishing and creating lasting memories. The sounds of nature, the serenity of the location, and the breathtaking view we enjoyed while sipping our morning coffee made this stay even more special. I can say without hesitation that Henderson Outpost is a five-star camp, both in terms of comfort and organization. From the moment we arrived, René provided us with exceptional service, ensuring all our needs were met and that our experience was simply perfect. If you are dreaming of an unforgettable fly-in fishing trip, I highly recommend Henderson Outpost on the Ivanhoe River/Lake. It is a place where you can create new memories while reconnecting with the beauty of nature. This camp deserves all the praise, and much more! #FlyInFishing #IvanhoeRiver #HendersonOutpost #UnforgettableExperience #FiveStarCamp

The most beautiful place we have ever seen. Accommodation as comfortable as home. The fishing is excellent. The owners are lovely. We prefer not to talk about it too much because we try to go twice a year. We can't wait to go back after last year. A lake all to ourselves.

Since the early 1980s, my group has been fly-in fishing in Northern Ontario and Quebec. This year marks our second stay at Henderson's Outpost. Claire and René are exceptional hosts. The comfort is incomparable for a fly-in fishing site. They have a generator, hot and cold running water, a shower and toilet, drinking water, plenty of firewood, a fish house with running water and screening, and many other unexpected amenities. We caught plenty of fish every day, with enough to feed ourselves and even bring some home (our limit). I highly recommend Henderson's Outpost to anyone who wants to experience a top-quality fly-in fishing trip. It's a great family business.
