Forêt Baera covers an exclusive territory located at the border of the Laurentians and the Outaouais, in the Notre-Dame-du-Laus sector. This preserved natural estate spans 24 km² for moose hunting and encompasses a vast area including a section of the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve. The territory is home to a wide diversity of forest habitats, streams, and bodies of water surrounded by lush vegetation rich in wild berries. The hydrographic network includes seven main fishing lakes, including Lake Berneuil, Little Lake Berneuil, Lake Canard, as well as Lakes Gibel, Pit, Lyon, Gardner, and Puant, not to mention Murphy Creek. The aquatic
environments feature six trout lakes and one lake reserved for American northern pike. The lakes are stocked according to strict conservation standards to preserve the ecological balance. Species found here include brook trout (speckled trout), rainbow trout, lake trout (grey trout), native trout in Murphy Creek, and northern pike. The terrestrial wildlife of Forêt Baera boasts a high density of game. Visitors may encounter white-tailed deer, moose, and black bears, with the latter benefiting from 80 baiting sites distributed across the estate. Small game, including ruffed grouse and migratory birds, completes the faunal richness of this wild territory dotted with islands, peninsulas, waterfalls, and forest trails.
Forêt Baera offers a wide range of outdoor activities in the heart of nature, during both the summer and winter seasons. Fishing is practiced in summer as well as on the ice in winter, whether for a day trip or during an overnight stay. Lure and fly fishing enthusiasts can catch brook trout, rainbow trout, lake trout, and northern pike. 14- and 16-foot wood or aluminum boats are available, with the option to use or rent electric or gasoline motors. Fishing is free for children aged 11 and under. Hunting takes place on exclusive territories for white-tailed deer, moose, black
bear, and small game. Hunters can use bows, crossbows, muzzleloaders, or rifles. The territory includes watchtowers, blinds, and prepared baiting sites. Qualified guide services are also available upon request for tracking and scouting. Outdoor and family vacation activities include hiking and snowshoeing on trails, canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, as well as rustic or wilderness camping on the peninsula. Wildlife and flora observation is offered with a naturalist guide. A "gnome hunt" is also organized on the islands of Lake Berneuil, inviting families to explore the area by boat in search of hidden small statues.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à la Pourvoirie Baera Forest avec mes deux gars. Nous avons eu la chance de profiter de belles journées de pêche et de chasse à l’ours, une expérience que nous avons adorée du début à la fin. Un gros merci à Steve pour son accueil exceptionnel, son professionnalisme et son excellent service. Il a toujours été disponible pour répondre à nos questions et s’assurer que tout se passe bien. Nous repartons avec de très beaux souvenirs en famille et nous recommandons cet endroit sans hésitation. Merci encore pour cette belle aventure!

Nous revenons d'un séjour de 4 jours pour la première fois avec nos enfants 5 et 7 ans !!!! C'était d'un charme !!! Tout est adapté pour la famille !!! Les chalets sont bien entretenues et en plus ça mordu et les enfants veulent y retourner déjà !!! Au plaisir de se revoir!!!

Un endroit bien paisible, depuis 2016, nous prolongeons notre séjour d'année en année. Site parfait, plein de surprise de la diversité animal, certain d'être loin de notre quotidien. L'aménagement des sites reste rustique tout en offrant les commodités nécessaires pour un séjour selon votre rythme. Nous, de la pêche, le plaisir de s'y baigner. Merci Steve et son équipe (dont Martin & fils).
