I have been going to Legacy Lodge in Rivers Inlet for years, and it is no coincidence that I return regularly – and will continue to do so. From the moment you arrive, everything is perfectly orchestrated. The staff is always welcoming, professional, and genuinely dedicated to providing every guest with an unforgettable experience. It is a well-managed business that takes great pride in the quality of its work. The lodge itself is first class. Comfortable accommodations, excellent cuisine, and a relaxed, warm atmosphere that makes the stay just as enjoyable on land as on the water. Evenings spent swapping stories with other guests have become a tradition. Fishing is fishing – there are always ups and downs – but most of the time, I leave with my catch limit of salmon and halibut. This consistency is a testament to the excellence of the establishment. After several stays, I can say without hesitation that this is a world-class operation. If you are considering a salmon fishing trip in British Columbia, Legacy Lodge should be your first choice.

We went in July 2022 and almost everything was fantastic, except for the fishing. The private flight from Vancouver and the floatplane arrival were awesome, the fishing boats were in excellent condition, the whale show we watched one day was incredible, and the food was excellent. The lodge was full and only the guests who hired dedicated guides (who had downriggers) had good catches. I don't feel like the "roving" guides were effective at helping others find fish. Plus, they had this absurd rule that forbade cutting a salmon fillet into only two pieces, which made it impossible to prepare individual portions. Don't forget: "That's fishing" and nothing is ever guaranteed, even after four days of hard fishing at Rivers Inlet.

This was our family's tenth year at Legacy Lodge. The experience has always been exceptional! The staff is wonderful and goes out of their way to make our stay unforgettable.
