Located at the northern tip of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Meat Cove Campground offers an outdoor getaway on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The site is managed by the MacLellan family, who have been settled in this fishing village for eight generations. The territory is framed by the Cape Breton Highlands on one side and the sea on the other. Accommodation includes over 30 unserviced campsites, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. a table, chairs, and a six-foot outdoor deck. For a more complete stay, a three-bedroom oceanside cottage that sleeps six is available. It features a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry service, and a private deck with a hot tub. On-site, guests have access to sanitary facilities including free hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water. Free Wi-Fi is available. A food truck is located in the beach area for dining. Activities offered on-site include sea kayak rentals for paddling to "The Arch" (about a twenty-minute trip), swimming at Meat Cove Beach, hiking on surrounding trails, seasonal whale watching, and evening campfires.
