The outfitter

Located on an island in Family Lake near Atikaki Provincial Wilderness Park, Shining Falls Lodge offers a fly-in fishing experience. The territory is home to an abundance of Walleye and trophy Northern Pike. Accommodations include four private waterfront cabins with screened-in porches, available in American or housekeeping plans. 16-foot boats equipped with 20 HP motors and depth finders are provided. Attentive service includes fresh coffee delivered to your cabin every morning and shore lunches.

Territory and geography

The lodge is set on a remote island in the heart of Family Lake, a vast 35-mile-long body of water characterized by its numerous bays and islands. Surrounded by Atikaki Provincial Wilderness Park, this wild territory is fed by the cold waters of the Dogskin and Berens Rivers, forming the headwaters of the Pigeon River which flows into Lake Winnipeg. The outfitter is a short boat ride from Shining Falls. The complete isolation of the site, accessible only by floatplane, preserves the natural beauty of its hundreds of miles of shoreline.

Je pêche dans ce camp chaque année depuis plus de 15 ans. Les guides, le personnel, la nourriture et la pêche dans cette magnifique rivière à gros poissons sont tout simplement exceptionnels au Canada. Je n'ai jamais rencontré de meilleurs guides, quel que soit le camp. Ils connaissent la rivière sur le bout des doigts et savent exactement comment tirer le meilleur parti de toutes les conditions.
