One of our best family fishing days. Pacific Angler handled the booking and the process was friendly, fast and easy, with excellent communication throughout the day. Everything was well organized and we knew exactly where to go and what to expect, which made the experience simple and stress-free right from the start. We spent a full 10-hour day fishing off Granville Island with Captain Ed and our two kids, and it was excellent from start to finish. The boat was clean, well-maintained, and visibly cared for. Ed was an exceptional guide: patient, knowledgeable, very clear in his instructions and always ready to help when needed. He also made the day super fun. He has no shortage of funny stories and dad jokes, and his laid-back personality made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable rather than overly serious. And the fishing delivered. All three of us hit our limit of Chinook salmon. We've been on saltwater fishing charters in many parts of the world, and what really impressed us on this one was the opportunity to enjoy such exceptional fishing departing right from a major city. Being able to leave from Granville Island and spend the day on productive waters is a unique experience. Above all, we had a wonderful family day. Ed helped make this moment unforgettable, and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone considering a fishing trip in Vancouver. Fantastic experience with Pacific Angler and our guide Eddie. We arrived late due to a lack of parking, but Eddie was waiting for us without the slightest complaint; he handled the situation right away. The boat was spotless and very comfortable, and Eddie was polite and professional throughout the trip. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for casual anglers. He explained to us precisely which fish we could keep and which had to be released, which we really appreciated. He also has a great sense of humour and plenty of anecdotes to share, so time on the water flew by. What impressed me most was seeing him in action. At one point, the line got tangled and he untangled it amazingly fast; it was a real pleasure to see someone handle a tricky situation with such calm. We felt safe and well taken care of from start to finish. A memorable day. I highly recommend Eddie and Pacific Angler.

He was very patient with my son, answering all his questions and encouraging him throughout the trip… he even held a fish at the end! We caught and released lots of fish! Pacific Angler, their team (Kathryn Sharp), and our captain, Eddie Mattei, were exceptional! The weather was tough that day, but Eddie managed to find calmer waters so my wife and I could fish. Here is our catch of the day. We both landed a record catch thanks to Eddie! Eddie even shared his secret recipe with us. The evening we got back to Ohio, we tried it out and it was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this charter service and especially this exceptional captain and guide! I had an incredible day with Pacific Angler. We went out fishing with Jake, a real pro, and on top of that, he's super handsome! We got bites almost right away and very quickly, we were reeling them in one after another. Jake spent a lot of time switching up lures to optimize our chances of success. Mission accomplished: the whole group got their fill of coho salmon and we had a blast. Top-notch communication and information, from booking right up to meeting up that morning.
