The hunting territory extends deep into Newfoundland's wild interior. It covers the Long Range Mountains, the Buchans Plateau, and the Gaff Topsails sector, encompassing hunting zones 12 and 13 for moose, and 62 and 63 for caribou. This varied terrain, consisting of forests, lakes like Red Indian Lake, and high-altitude areas, provides an ideal habitat for big game. Access to the different sectors is either by land via Route 370 or by air to reach the isolated satellite lodges and camps.
