Renowned as the Salmon Capital of the World, this region provides privileged access to the sheltered waters of Discovery Passage, a major migratory route frequented by all five species of Pacific salmon: Chinook (King), Coho (Silver), Sockeye, Pink, and Chum. Outings take place aboard the "U.P. Scale," a 25-foot aluminum Raider boat designed for coastal navigation. The vessel features an enclosed heated cabin, marine toilet, generous deck space, and full
