Discover Gosenda Lodge

The outfitter

Founded in 1937, Gosenda Lodge is a fly-in family camp located in Northern Ontario. Established on a remote point at the northern end of Kapuskasing Lake, the lodge offers three self-catering cabins that can accommodate up to 20 people. This pristine territory offers an excellent off-the-grid fishing and hunting experience. Anglers can target walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and whitefish in the main lake as well as in three major rivers.

Territory and geography

The Gosenda Lodge estate is located in Northern Ontario, in Fisheries Management Zone 8. The camp occupies a remote point of land at the northern end of beautiful Kapuskasing Lake. This aquatic territory also includes three major rivers easily accessible from the site: the Kapuskasing, Chapleau, and Nemegosenda rivers. Completely isolated from the road network, this wilderness area is only accessible by air.

Quelle expérience formidable ! Du vol en hydravion, doux et pittoresque, à la pêche au bar de renommée mondiale (sans oublier le doré jaune, le brochet et la perchaude), nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable. Observer des orignaux, des loutres, des aigles, des huards, des castors et admirer de magnifiques levers et couchers de soleil a été la cerise sur le gâteau. Le chalet confortable, avec son aménagement rustique bien pensé, était l'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer. Et les hôtes, toujours disponibles et détendus, étaient devenus de véritables amis au moment de notre retour. Je recommande vivement !
