River Shikwamko — Hidden River Lodge

The Shikwamko River (also spelled Shikwamkwa or Shikwamka) is a key river connecting Whitefish Lake and Manitowick Lake within the lodge's territory. It serves as a prime feeding area for northern pike and walleye, especially from May through mid-July. Near Baily Bridge, the river is governed by a provincial fish sanctuary closure prohibiting all fishing from March 15 to June 15 to protect spawning areas, extending 2690 feet downstream and 656 feet upstream from the bridge.
