River Saint-Jean — Le Club de Saumon Saint-Jean de Gaspé

The Saint John River, located on the Gaspé Peninsula, originates approximately one hundred kilometers away in the Chic-Choc Mountains. Renowned for its exceptionally clear water and scenic scenery, it hosts a notable summer run of Atlantic salmon as well as good numbers of sea trout. The outfitter has exclusive access to roughly 8 kilometers of water encompassing all of Sector 3 and parts of Sectors 2 and 4, featuring 12 famous salmon pools including Home Pool, McDonald, Consul, Clandeboye, Countess, Lady Hamilton, Dufferin, Shanty, Roughwater, Still, and Curtis. The fishing is organized into 4 daily rotating beats, accessed via 24-foot canoes or wading alongside professional guides. A strict conservation and catch-and-release policy is practiced for adult Atlantic salmon.
