En 2019, avons passé une semaine au petit camp rustique de Trophy Lake. Le camp était très serré, mais ce n'était pas un enjeu pour nous, après tout, on y était pour la pêche et non pas pour dormir. :) On avait assez de place pour cuisiner. Notre pêche a été légendaire et nous avons de belles images de nos prises, un souvenir que je garderai à jamais. Je recommande aux adeptes d'aventure en plein air et aux pêcheurs.

Le véritable critère de qualité d'un lieu de pêche, c'est d'y revenir. Nous venons ici depuis 21 ans car c'est le meilleur endroit pour pêcher. Nous pêchons principalement la truite mouchetée à la mouche, mais s'il y a un ouananiche dans le coin, il attrape la mouche avant les truites à chaque fois. En 2021, à quatre, nous avons pris 801 poissons, dont 16 saumons atlantiques. La remise à l'eau permet de capturer des poissons plus gros et plus nombreux. Lac Justone Outfitter nous fournit du matériel de qualité et un excellent hébergement.

Ma première visite chez Lac Justone Outfitters remonte à 1994 et j'y suis retourné chaque année depuis pour profiter de l'excellente pêche. Au départ, nous cherchions de grosses truites mouchetées et nous en avons trouvé. Mais nous ne nous attendions pas à trouver d'aussi gros saumons atlantiques capables de sauter haut. À ce jour, nous avons pris des ombles de fontaine de plus de 2,3 kg et des saumons de plus de 5,4 kg. Nous avons également pêché des touladis et des brochets jusqu'à 11 kg. Nous pratiquons la remise à l'eau systématique afin de préserver cette ressource halieutique exceptionnelle. Les chalets sont propres, confortables et bien équipés. Les bateaux sont sûrs et permettent de pêcher facilement, et les moteurs fonctionnent toujours parfaitement.

Je visite la pourvoirie Lac Justone située sur le bassin versant de la superbe rivière Caniapiscau depuis déjà plusieurs années. C'est un endroit merveilleux pour obtenir la meilleure pêche à la truite mouchetée ainsi qu'à la ouananiche. C'est le paradis de la pêche à la mouche au Québec!
