The outfitter
The outfitter offers wilderness fishing and hunting trips in the heart of a vast body of water reaching depths of 200 feet in places, featuring over 100 miles of shoreline, reefs, and rocky structures. Anglers primarily target walleye and northern pike, supported by a catch-and-release program aimed at maintaining the quality of the aquatic wildlife. To navigate the lake, the outfitter offers 16.75-foot Northwood boats equipped with 40-hp Yamaha four-stroke engines, padded pedestal seats, livewells, and depth finders, as well as 16-foot aluminum boats with 15-to-20-hp engines, canoes, and a 20-foot pontoon. and rustic cabins featuring hot and cold running water, toilets, showers, lighting, and modern wood stoves. A remote outpost camp located on James Lake is also available for self-sufficient stays. Two types of packages are offered: the American Plan, including homemade buffet-style meals (breakfasts, shore lunch fish fries with bannock, and varied dinners), or the Housekeeping Plan. During their respective seasons, guided black bear hunting expeditions on baited sites and moose hunting in tent camps round out the activities offered.
