Located on the waterfront in Big Bay on Stuart Island, Nanook Lodge is a family-owned establishment founded in 1998 by Larry and Sam Anderson. This rustic-modern red cedar lodge accommodates up to 18 guests in an intimate atmosphere. Outdoor enthusiasts come here to fish for Chinook salmon, Coho, halibut, and lingcod, or to observe humpback whales during eco-tours. After a day at sea on a 25-foot covered boat, enjoy the ocean-facing deck.

Lui et Igor se sont toujours montrés extrêmement serviables (au sens propre comme au figuré) lors de nos croisières dans les criques, profitant de la beauté et de la splendeur de son chez-soi. Il partage généreusement sa passion et possède une connaissance approfondie de la région et de la faune. Jamais pressés pour prendre des photos, et les bateaux sont confortables et performants. Les changements de marée sont absolument impressionnants, et la faune y réagit. Nous avons passé un séjour formidable à Nanook !

Un lieu exceptionnel pour l'observation des aigles et autres animaux sauvages. Les possibilités photographiques sont fantastiques, la nourriture est délicieuse et le personnel, très attentionné, est aux petits soins. Le lodge est très confortable.

Nous avons fait une magnifique traversée en bateau jusqu'à cette île paradisiaque isolée. Les guides de pêche et les propriétaires étaient tous des gens simples et sympathiques. L'hébergement était propre et confortable, les repas délicieux et le paysage magnifique ; je n'aurais pas pu rêver mieux.
