Galiano Road, Campbell River
The adventure begins in Campbell River. A shuttle provides pick-up from your hotel to the Vancouver Island Air seaplane. A 30 to 35-minute scenic flight aboard a Turbo Otter flies over Strathcona Provincial Park to drop you directly at the floating lodge dock. On the return trip, the shuttle service takes you back to your hotel or to the Campbell River or Comox airports.

Anchored in a peaceful bay of Nootka Sound, Nootka Wilderness Lodge is a floating accommodation offering fully guided fishing trips on the west coast of Vancouver Island. From June to September, cruise the ocean aboard Grady White boats to catch Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, halibut, lingcod, and rockfish. After a day at sea, enjoy attentive hospitality: appetizers on the dock, three-course gourmet meals prepared by a private chef, a lounge with a fireplace, and full processing services for your catch.
Located in a sheltered bay in the heart of Nootka Sound, on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island, the territory is accessible only by air or sea. Surrounded by the vast Pacific Ocean, old-growth forests, and the proximity of Strathcona Provincial Park, this isolated sector is known as the "Salmon Corridor." The presence of baitfish schools and reef structures provides an exceptional habitat for pelagic and bottom fish. Access is by floatplane directly to the floating complex.

My family, my friends, and I have been visiting this lodge since 2010 and it just keeps getting better. The fishing is excellent, thanks to the warm welcome from the owners, Brian and RJ, and their detail-oriented team who truly care about the quality of the fishing, the service, and the enjoyment of the whole family.

First multi-day fishing experience. The food was excellent. The chef was exceptional! The whole team was thrilled to be there and enthusiastic about participating in our fishing vacation. The bar and the dock were perfect for evening drinks. My kids loved the dogs. A big thank you to our guide, Hillie. Even when others weren't catching much, we were always very active. His wise advice to my kids on reeling in their catches made this an unforgettable experience.
