Those staying at the outpost camp depart approximately 1.5 hours after arriving at the base camp, with sites ranging from 1 to 20 miles from the camp.

I was looking for a hands-on bear hunting experience with ample guidance & support as needed. And I am pleased to say that is exactly what I got from this semi-guided hunt. I learned how to prepare bait. I went on bait runs & multiple bear recoveries. I got to skin & butcher my own bear by choice. This was exactly the type of hunt I was looking for. Chris freely shares his wealth of knowledge with anyone willing to listen & heed his recommendations. Putting in the hours, the work, & following his recommendations helped me tag my first bear that I'll always be proud of. Thanks for everything, Chris.

Chris offre tout ce qu'on peut attendre d'une chasse à l'ours semi-guidée. Il est dans le métier depuis toujours et il est très direct. Mon conseil : écoutez-le attentivement et suivez ses instructions. Si c'est votre première chasse à l'ours, dites-lui qu'il est très pédagogue et que vous apprendrez beaucoup. Mon fils et moi y retournerons sans hésiter. Mon fils m'a vu abattre un bel ours depuis le même mirador, et Chris a été d'une aide précieuse. Merci encore, Chris. Par ailleurs, Chris prend la chasse à l'ours très au sérieux. Chaque chasseur a la responsabilité de ramener son ours à l'intérieur. Il faut le laisser refroidir et le découper immédiatement. Vous pourrez ensuite célébrer, mais cela doit se faire avec discrétion au campement, car d'autres personnes pourraient être offensées. Chris ne tolère pas ce genre de comportement. Encore une fois, vous ne serez pas déçu si vous suivez les instructions de Chris.

Je suis toujours aussi impressionné par la qualité de la chasse à l'ours proposée par Pine Acres Bear Camp (camping et complexe hôtelier). Les hôtes sont accueillants, très compétents et ont répondu à tous nos besoins. L'emplacement de l'affût a été choisi en fonction de mon style de chasse. J'ai aperçu plusieurs ours adultes. Il s'agit d'une chasse semi-guidée à un prix raisonnable, avec des chalets modernes et d'excellentes chances de prélever un ours. J'y suis allé ces deux dernières années et j'ai déjà réservé pour le printemps prochain.

I hunted bear with Chris this spring for my second time. The cabins are very nice, clean, and comfortable. The hunting was absolutely amazing!! Seen a bunch of bears and got to see some amazing scenery. The cooler was down this spring unfortunately so we had to clean bears quick. (We were warned about this prior to hunting) We were able to use the cleaning area and put our meat in the freezers to freeze solid for the drive back home. The camp atmosphere is awesome with good people. I was fortunate enough to harvest an awesome bear and booked right away for a hunt again next year!! If you have never hunted bear in Canada before I would strongly recommend Pine Acres!!
