Abitibi Consolidated LTD. A turning point occurred in the spring of 2009 when the territory was transferred to the Société de gestion d'actifs forestiers Solifor, s.e.c. (Solifor Lac Métis), a company created by the Fonds de Solidarité des Travailleurs du Québec (FSTQ). While Solifor focuses its operations on forestry work, Pourvoirie de la Seigneurie du Lac Métis took over the development, management, and promotion of the recreational tourism offer, encompassing hunting, fishing, and vacation stays. The management has also undertaken a historical reconstruction of the estate to document its evolution from 1870 to the present day.

Moose is the outfitter's star species, boasting a high density that exceeds 23 individuals per 10 km² and reaches up to 30 moose per 10 km² in certain sectors. Black bears are also highly present throughout the territory due to a conducive environment and controlled management of hunting pressure. White-tailed deer are also among the species frequenting the area. Small game enthusiasts will find populations of ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, snowshoe hare, and American woodcock within these forest environments. On the aquatic side, the great Lac Métis is home to one of the most productive lake trout (grey trout) populations south of the St. Lawrence River. Brook trout (speckled trout) is also well-represented across the various lakes, watercourses, and streams of the Seigneurie. Finally, the Mitis River provides a suitable habitat for Atlantic salmon in the Seigneurie's pool sector.

A fishing guide service with a boat and equipment is also offered. Outdoor and vacation activities include hiking, nature and wildlife observation, swimming, mountain biking, canoeing, and kayaking. Visitors can stay in cabins or at wilderness campsites equipped with water points, picnic tables, pit toilets, fire pits, and boat launches. Finally, the registration center sells permits, fishing and hunting gear, salt lick supplies, and basic provisions.
