In the spring of 2009, the Seigneurie Nicolas-Riou territory, located in Saint-Eugène-de-Ladrière in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, reached a significant turning point. The land was transferred to the Société de gestion d’actifs forestiers Solifor, s.e.c. (Solifor Nicolas Riou), a company created by the Fonds de Solidarité des Travailleurs du Québec (FSTQ).
