River Manouane — Pourvoirie Duhamel

The Manouane River, split on the territory into two main branches named the Grande Manouane and Petite Manouane, winds through Pourvoirie Duhamel before flowing into Lake Duhamel. Recognized by provincial wildlife biologists as significant natural spawning grounds, these rivers offer excellent fishing opportunities for brook trout, walleye, northern pike, landlocked salmon (ouananiche), and lake whitefish. Featuring waterfalls, rapids, and sandy shores, the Manouane River provides a spectacular backdrop. It hosts canoe-camping and kayaking adventures, offering 20 km routes as well as an extended 60 km journey down to the Péribonka power station, complete with shuttle services, guided tours, or self-guided descents.
