A 20 km long lake! The only downside to this place, in my opinion, is the proximity to the railway tracks. The train whistle often echoes, day and night. If you go, plan on taking a boat ride.

The place is simply magnificent. Opportunity for many activities. Lucky also that there was a gazebo, because our tent took in water with the expected rain, so at least we were able to spend a nice dry evening at that time 😅 negative points: the road to get there which is gravel, the lack of privacy since there are practically no trees between the campsites. The toilet is also hard to see in the dark.

Positive points: -The Lac Walker campground is magnificent (gazebo with bug screens, beach, lake view). -The McDonald Falls hike is breathtaking Negative points: -28 km trip on gravel to get to the 1st campground (Lac Walker), so about 45 minutes. -Blackflies and mosquitoes are omnipresent and can easily make your stay unbearable if you are not equipped accordingly.

Beautiful well-maintained reserve. Lac Walker is breathtaking, surrounded by its majestic mountains. McDonald Falls is also impressive, especially since there was an incredible water flow. On the other hand, between the mosquitoes, blackflies, and other bugs, it's hell! Allow a good 45 minutes to get to the lake and another 15 minutes by car for the waterfall, but it's well worth the detour.
