Sépaq Anticosti occupies the greater part of Anticosti Island, in the Gulf of St. Lawrence — a territory of roughly 5,585 km² of canyons, colossal cliffs, waterfalls and open sea to the horizon, dotted with 48 lakes and many streams and rivers, including 2 salmon rivers. It is the prime destination for white-tailed deer hunting: the herd, descended from 220 deer introduced by Henri Menier in 1896-1897, is today the highest deer concentration in eastern North America, and the package allows harvesting 2 deer per hunter. In summer the island is also a vacation getaway: stays at the Port-Menier and McDonald inns or in seafront cabins, family packages, guided photo exploration, and fly fishing for Atlantic salmon on the Jupiter, Chaloupe, Ferrée and La Loutre rivers, as well as brook trout on the lakes. Lodging includes 2 inns and 15 cabins totalling 51 rooms. Access is by air (charter flights from Mont-Joli, or Québec and Mirabel depending on the package), and the village of Port-Menier sits on the west side of the island. One of Québec's natural jewels.
