We tent camped during the first week of June 2024, site 102. As mentioned in other reviews, this campground is beautiful and very well equipped. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The washrooms are plentiful, clean, and well equipped, some with hot showers and others with a sink. The sites are spacious, well spaced, shaded, and offer good privacy. Dogs are allowed. We didn't have any mosquitoes at our site, but we were far from the water and temperatures were still mild. That might change when temperatures start to climb. Our site was right across from a basic washroom without electricity, with two toilets and a sink. The water tap was on the adjacent street, next to the garbage bins and across from the washroom. The campground and park are crossed by well-maintained paved roads, making it easy to get around by bike. I highly recommend bringing your bike to get around, as the campground is large. This campground is great for families, with two fully equipped playgrounds. One of the playgrounds even includes a mountain bike skills park. There is also a grassy area for sports activities, a beach, and a nature interpretation centre, which was unfortunately closed during our visit. An easy trail goes through a wooded area next to the centre. Bikes are forbidden there. The lake is beautiful and open to all water activities. However, like all British Columbia lakes, the water is cold. That's not a problem for most Canadians, but having grown up in the tropics, I always think twice, or even six times, before swimming in a lake! Pedal boats and kayaks can be rented right on the beach. Unfortunately for us, the service was still closed for the season. My main complaint, and I'm nitpicking here, is that this campground, like all large campgrounds, can be noisy. Since we weren't there during peak season (July and August), it wasn't unbearable. But I can understand that it could be annoying for those looking for peace and quiet. Our site was closer to the main road, towards the back of the loop, which allowed us to hear live music late at night coming from the bar-restaurant located on the main road. The other point preventing me from giving 5 stars to this place is that if you're not a lake enthusiast like me, you might struggle to find other activities after a day or two. There are no hiking opportunities and mountain biking trails are very limited inside the park. You will need to go to another area for these activities. Overall, it's a great campground. And if you live nearby, it's an excellent option. Since I live a 5-hour drive away, I probably won't be back anytime soon. However, the shortage of campgrounds in my region, due to excessive demand relative to capacity, is why I camped here in the first place. So who knows, maybe I'll be back sooner than expected!

It is one of the most incredible campgrounds we have visited. It has magnificent fine sand beaches and great bike paths for young and old. There are flush toilets everywhere. 🚻 Incredible that there are also hot showers! île de Copper is only 2 km away and is only accessible by boat or canoe, but the detour is well worth it. There are also very nice hiking trails.

Superb family campground with all the amenities. Some sites are equipped with electrical hookups, they are spacious and private, the showers are clean and hot, and the overall cleanliness of the campground is excellent. The campground has two playgrounds and a really cool bike park to keep the kids busy. The beach is very nice for swimming, with plenty of space and picnic tables at the entrance, as well as a separate area for dogs further down, near the boat launch. The park also offers additional overnight campsites in the public parking lot, as well as a nature shop nearby.

This is our favourite spot to camp. Every site is well-treed and very clean. The staff cleans the sites after each departure. There are plenty of activities for kids: two great parks and a bike path. Everything is within walking distance. The beach is a bit rocky, but the water is really nice. A few sites have electricity, but the rest do not. A wonderful place!
