What a treat! The owners of this lodge welcome you as VIP guests, far more than just regular clients. For those who prefer bed and breakfasts to hotels, this is the ideal vacation spot… with five-star fishing just steps away as a bonus. One last point: your catch will be prepared by the best fishmonger in Western Canada. I've fished at many renowned lodges in British Columbia (notably in Haida Gwaii) and had my fish processed by various processors… Jen and Scott (the owners) found a way to integrate their son into their team, and his expertise is exceptional. Your cuts of salmon will be perfect, but it's especially his talent with lingcod and halibut that is remarkable. Once your catch is home, after thawing, you can prepare a fillet worthy of a fine restaurant. Imagine never having to skin or debone fish again! A huge thank you to the Porters for this unforgettable trip (my kids are still talking about it to their friends). The three salmon in the photos were all caught by their holders in 3 hours on our last day (spring salmon weighing 23, 21, and 18 pounds).

The absolutely incredible experience we had at Slam Bang Lodge during the summer of 2022 set the bar very high for all our future fishing trips. (We were fortunate enough to enjoy it with our three adult sons.) Scott and Jenn are exceptional hosts. Jenn's cooking (with the option to use some of your catch) was simply divine. Mike and Glenn, experienced guides who know the area inside out, are remarkable. They generously share their knowledge, tips, and tricks with great kindness. Having the fish prepared, vacuum-sealed, and flash-frozen on site is an added bonus that contributes to the excellence of the experience. An exceptional location and a wide variety of fish are available inshore, offshore, and in mid-depth waters, all accessible thanks to Slam Bang Lodge's heavy-duty aluminum boats. All the fishing gear, from hook to rod, is top quality. We hope to return very soon. The memories of this trip are precious and priceless thanks to everyone who accompanied us. For our 10th wedding anniversary, we were treated like royalty. Scott and Jennifer welcomed us with open arms and catered to our every need. Jennifer's cooking is absolutely delicious, and she prepares wonderful packed lunches for all the boats and guides. Scott goes out of his way to show us all the beauty of his domain. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The view is breathtaking. The guides are highly knowledgeable and share their expertise, which ensures a successful day for everyone. Brody (Scott and Jennifer's son) is a true fileting prodigy. He is one of the best cutters I have ever seen. I highly recommend this place and fully intend to return. My wife and I spent four days at Slam Bang celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary. Of all the fishing camps I have been to, this is the one I would return to without hesitation… and as soon as possible! This family-run establishment is managed with passion, and it shows. The atmosphere and warm welcome made our stay unforgettable. The fishing is incomparable to that of the island's northwest coast. The fish are simply bigger and more abundant. If I told you how much fish we brought back, you wouldn't believe your eyes! The camp also features a top-of-the-line processing facility, run by the fastest and friendliest cutter I have ever seen. I had heard this camp was famous for its food. And it was true! Every meal was a real treat. I could talk about it for hours, the trip was so memorable. Best regards
