Lake South Leland — Andrew Lake Lodge

South Leland Lake is located 50 kilometres east of Fort Smith, about halfway to Andrew Lake. This long, narrow Canadian Shield body of water features steep, rocky granite shores with over 100 kilometres of shoreline to explore, reaching depths of up to 112 feet. It is renowned for its diverse game fish species, including walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and lake whitefish. The junction area between South and North Leland lakes, marked by rapids, represents one of the best fishing spots in the system. The South Leland outpost camp is sheltered in a cove just south of the rapids. It offers light housekeeping self-guided stays across three guest cabins powered by solar energy, battery systems, and back-up generators. Guests are provided with 14 to 15-foot aluminum boats equipped with 9.9 HP outboard motors and unlimited fuel. Access is strictly via floatplane air charter.
