Club de chasse et pêche Stramond is a small exclusive-rights outfitter in the northern Outaouais, set on the shores of Lac des Augustines in hunting zone 14. Its 111 km² exclusive territory — mountains, marshes, lakes and forest — is fished for walleye, lake trout and northern pike, and hunted for moose across sectors of about 10 km² each with their own maintained trails, or for small game (spruce grouse, ruffed grouse and hare). Rietz, Lac Roy and the Ottawa River, all progressively renovated over the years, with screened verandas, wood stoves and indoor showers. A cleaning room, freezer, cold storage for big game, shore lunch, propane B.B.Q. and free Wi-Fi on the main site round out the stay. Bought in 1982 by Austin and Madeleine Gagnon, the outfitter has been run since 2007 by its owner Renée Latour, who champions eco-responsible management: releasing large specimens, reduced walleye and pike quotas, catch reporting and solar equipment.
