It was in the 1970s that the passion for hunting, fishing, ATV riding, and snowmobiling first took root at Pourvoirie Kanawata, located in the Mauricie region, north of Saint-Michel-des-Saints and on the shores of Lac Manouane. Originally, the territory belonged to the Canadian International Paper Company (CIP) and welcomed loggers and raft drivers. Set directly along the shores of lac Manouane, the outfitter is about a 2 h 25 drive north of Saint-Michel-des-Saints.
