Pavillon Paul Caron is a family-run, non-exclusive outfitter set in the heart of the Gatineau valley, at Grand-Remous, on the shores of Réservoir Baskatong (zone 11 east). Fishing runs from spring to fall in a bay sheltered from strong winds or out on the reservoir itself (about 20 minutes away): walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, lake whitefish and sturgeon. In the fall, hunting — white-tailed deer, ruffed grouse, woodcock, hare and duck — takes place on the surrounding public land. Lodging is in 8 very clean, fully equipped cabins for groups of 2 to 8 people (range, refrigerator, microwave, running
water, indoor toilet, shower, picnic table and campfire), plus serviced or wild camping near the lake. The outfitter also rents rowboats and motorboats, offers direct access to the Haute-Gatineau ATV trails, a beach, hiking, canoeing, mountain biking, wild-berry picking and birdwatching.
