Located in Duhamel, in the heart of the Outaouais, Pourvoirie Légendes des Bois stands on a territory rich in history and memories. Formerly known as Pourvoirie Club des Douze, this outdoor destination has hosted countless adventures over the decades. The site's historic building, a rustic cabin named "Le Shack" located on the peninsula at the center of the lake, bears witness to this long heritage, dating back to 1914. In 2025, the establishment begins a brand-new chapter under new administration. The team, composed of hunting, fishing, and nature enthusiasts, chose to rename the outfitter Légendes des Bois to honor the
tales, stories, and cultural heritage that have shaped the land. Upon taking over management, the new administration undertook the modernization of infrastructure and the renovation of cabins, while rethinking the quality of hospitality and services to fully realize the domain's potential. Today, the outfitter covers an exclusive 15 km² territory bordering the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve. Its mission revolves around respect for wildlife and the land, educational transmission, and the sharing of local legends, offering visitors an authentic immersion by the water and in the forest.

Pourvoirie Légendes des Bois spans an exclusive 15 km² territory in Duhamel, in the heart of the Outaouais region, within hunting zone 10 (specifically zone 10 East for small game). The estate borders the Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve, offering a natural environment of pristine forests, wild landscapes, and mountainous panoramas. The local hydrographic network includes several private bodies of water. Lac Galette, located in front of the main lodge, is a stocked lake home to brook trout and rainbow trout. Fortier also allows for bass fishing, according to the species' opening dates. The area's land wildlife is diverse. It includes moose, managed through forest scouting and the maintenance of established salt licks. For sustainable management purposes, harvesting is targeted at adult males with antlers measuring ten centimeters or more. White-tailed deer thrive in managed forest habitats with strategic baiting sites. Black bears are also present on the territory, where specific areas are baited and maintained regularly. Finally, the forest cover shelters small game populations, primarily represented by ruffed grouse and snowshoe hare.
Pourvoirie Légendes des Bois offers fishing, hunting, and vacation activities year-round. During the summer season, from May to October, sport fishing for brook trout, rainbow trout, and bass takes place on Lac Galette, Lac Ovila Fortier, and Lac Scelier. Packages include the use of 14-foot fiberglass boats with electric motors, on-site battery charging, oars, and safety kits. From December to March, ice fishing on Lac Galette targets trout using tip-ups, with the option of using wood-stove heated shacks. For safety reasons, only outfitter vehicles are permitted on the frozen lake. Hunting is practiced on the exclusive 15 km² territory. Moose
hunting is conducted with bow or crossbow in scouted sectors with salt licks, limited to one group at a time. White-tailed deer hunting features blinds positioned according to prevailing winds over baited zones. Black bear hunting is offered in June at daily baited sites equipped with watchtowers. Small game hunting (ruffed grouse and hare) is organized in the fall in reserved group zones. For vacationers, guests in accommodation enjoy free access to kayaks, pedal boats, a swimming area, and outdoor fire pits for campfires. A fish cleaning station is also available. To protect the lakes against invasive aquatic species, personal boats and floating equipment are not permitted.

Super expérience de pêche à la truite. Nous étions 2 couples qui n’ont eu aucune misère à avoir nos limites. Les chalets sont propres et il y a une ambiance calme partout sur le site. Que dire de Sylvain, il est super accueillant et gentil. Il a été là pour nous de la première minute jusqu’à la dernière. C’est certain que nous allons revenir et nous allons faire vivre l’expérience à notre garçon de 8 ans. Merci Pourvoirie Légendes des bois!

Première fois à cette pourvoirie et très satisfait. Chalet Panache très propre et bien équipé. La pêche a été bonne sans avoir besoin d'aller très loin sur le lac. Sylvain à l'accueil est très sympathique et offre un service hors-pair. Il nous donne de judicieux conseils pour la pêche du moment. Seul point pour moi à améliorer serait d'augmenter la force des moteurs électriques, j'aurais apprécié un moteur électrique plus fort pour les journées de grand vent. Certainement que je retournerai à cet endroit à tout juste deux heures de chez moi. Recommande sans hésiter.

Super belle expérience. J’ai passé deux nuits en chalet. Le chalet était très propre et bien aménagé. L’accueil était chaleureux et les conseils de pêche du personnel ont été utiles. À deux pêcheurs nous avons réussi à pêcher chacun notre limite de truite durant nôtre séjour. Je recommande.

Quel beau coin de paradis, paisible et accueillant ! J’ai effectué plusieurs visites cet hiver et l’été dernier dont quelques-unes en loft et chalet. Chacune des visites ou séjour ont été agréable avec un accueil impeccable et une belle qualité de pêche. J’ai d’ailleurs eu la chance de capturer une belle arc-en-ciel de plus de 6 lbs. La passion des nouveaux propriétaires transparait déjà, félicitation Marc-André et Claudia, pas de doute que la pourvoirie connaitra du succès. Le dévouement de Sylvain, son expertise et sa bon humeur rendent les séjours agréables.

Une superbe journée journée passée à la pêche à glace. La température était de notre côté , beau soleil. L’établissement est bien entretenue et nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir avec le guide/hôte Sylvain. Un employé hors pair qui a son travail et les gens à cœur. Un vraiment bon service. Nous sommes revenus à la maison avec 4 belles truites : 3 mouchetés et une arc en ciel. Cela fait décrocher de la vie de ville. Une belle place à visiter.
