You come here to unwind in the woods, off the grid: no Wi-Fi and electricity limited to a generator running a few hours in the evening. Eight rustic, fully-equipped cabins (propane stove and fridge, battery LED lighting, running water and hot water) sleep 2 to 10 people, from the small Petit Camp to the 'luxury' Cèdre cabin. Fishing runs year-round on Lac Giles and the many lakes and rivers of the Haute-Gatineau: lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth
bass, lake whitefish and yellow perch, plus brook trout and rainbow trout in a small stocked lake. In winter, ice fishing continues from a heated shack. On the hunting side, the territory borders the Trente et Un Milles deeryard, one of the most populous in continental Quebec: white-tailed deer (zone 10), black bear in spring and fall, and small game and migratory birds from late November. Add wildlife and nature watching, hiking and mountain biking, canoeing and sea kayaking, year-round camping, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and even an introduction to trapping.
Pourvoirie Mijocama is a staple of the Haute-Gatineau outdoor landscape in Outaouais. The site showcases historic built heritage through century-old structures built of round logs or piece-on-piece timber. Among these renovated historical buildings are the "Le Centre" cottage, a hundred-year-old structure that formerly served as a health center with a sauna and clawfoot tub, and the "Salon Bleu" cottage, a testament to the traditional construction methods of yesteryear. Pourvoirie Mijocama is located on a peninsula on Lake Giles, in the heart of the Haute-Gatineau region of Outaouais. This territory benefits from a microclimate along the Gatineau River valley, fostering a northern deciduous forest composed notably of beech, oak, walnut, and impressive eastern white cedars. This forest environment provides varied and abundant food for a very diverse range of wildlife. On the game side, the outfitter borders the southeast section of the Lake Trente et Un Milles white-tailed deer yard, recognized as the most populous in continental Quebec. Black bear, moose, hare, fisher, fox, and coyote are also commonly
encountered. Birdwatching enthusiasts can spot mallards, woodcocks, pileated woodpeckers, bald eagles, and turkey vultures. In June, the site also offers the opportunity to observe several turtle species nesting. The hydrographic network is home to rich aquatic life. The area's water bodies contain lake trout (grey trout), Northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass—the latter teeming in Lake Giles—as well as lake whitefish. Yellow perch, sunfish, brown bullhead, channel catfish, and burbot are also caught here. A small, managed and stocked wild lake nearby further allows for brook trout (speckled trout) and rainbow trout fishing.
Pourvoirie Mijocama offers a full range of outdoor activities across all seasons. During the summer, sport fishing takes place on Lake Giles and surrounding waters for lake trout, pike, bass, whitefish, brook trout, and rainbow trout. Fly fishing lessons are available upon request. In winter, ice fishing takes over with heated shacks on the ice, supply of tip-ups and rods, hole drilling, and snowmobile transportation. Hunting in Zone 10 West centers around white-tailed deer (bow, crossbow, muzzleloader, firearm), black bear in spring and fall at baited sites equipped with tree stands, small game, and migratory birds. on-site. For vacationers, the outfitter provides dozens of kilometers of maintained trails for hiking and mountain biking, including a shelter for picnicking or camping. The outfitter also serves as a staging point for ATVs (Quad) and snowmobiles, thanks to direct access to regional trail networks. In winter, visitors enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kicksledding, or guided dogsledding tours. Encore sans mot de ma fin de semaine , quel endroit ! Connections avec la nature, c'est le calme total ! Les terrains de camping sont merveilleux et les brochets sont en feux !!! Ses la meilleur pourvoirie que je suis aller et je suis une grande pêcheuse! Si tu sais comment pêcher tu na pas a etre inquiet il y a du poisson en masse ! En plus le propriétaire te dit exactement avec quoi pêcher et comment le pêcher , il est un connaisseur et passionné qui connais bien son lac et son territoire ! Jai fait de merveilleuses rencontres, jetais a la fin de mon séjour et je regardais les dates pour prévoir bientôt un autre séjour car 2 jours ce n'est vraiment pas assez ! De plus niveau prix ses la moin chère que jai pu trouver ils passionnés et généreux ! Bref je recommande fortement , merci encore de m'avoir permis de vivre ce beau week-end, au plaisir de se revoir Alex & Odré

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine à la pourvoirie avec nôtre chien. Il y a une multitude de lac possible à pêcher ce qui nous donne des court trajet en forêt et des expériences différentes pour chacun d'eux. De plus, le propriétaire, Jocelyn, est une perle. Il répond a nos question sans probleme et donne de super conseils de pêche et nous guide selon les besoin et les envies. Je vais certainement y retourner!
