The outfitter

Poirier Fish and Game Territory is an exclusive-rights outfitter spread across 320 km² (124 mi²) bordering La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve, on Delahey Lake near Maniwaki. Founded in the 1940s and still owned by the same family, the outfitter was issued its first outfitter's licence in 1947. Anglers fish for walleye, northern pike, lake trout and speckled trout, and hunters pursue black bear (over baited sites), moose (exclusive territories rented by the week) and small game. The territory has 14 cottages at the main camp (mostly used by anglers, campers and bear hunters) plus 27 outpost cabins (mostly used by moose

Lodging is in housekeeping-equipped camps and cottages (propane stove, BBQ, electric fridge, dishes and utensils, wood or propane heat, indoor toilet and shower, screened porch; no electrical outlets, bring your own drinking water). Guests can also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, swimming, bird watching and photography. A perfect spot for a family, couples or friends getaway. Domestic animals are not allowed on the territory.

Un petit coin de paradis ou la pêche est excellente. Les chalets sont très bien entretenus et très propre. L'endroit est tranquille et gérer par une petite famille qui fait tout pour rendre votre séjour mémorable.

Vacances de rêve! Paysages de toute beauté! Nature à l'état pur! La vraie nature! Les jeunes propriétaires (Valérie et Kevin) nous ont accueillis chaleureusement et Kevin nous a donné les renseignements de pêche utiles à notre succès! Merci également à la maman et à Georges! Petit chalet très simple et super propre (ça sent bon!). Pour la préparation de notre séjour, nous avons communiqué à quelques reprises par téléphone avec Valérie et avons toujours eu une réponse juste, courtoise et joviale! J'adore cette pourvoirie les propriétaires sont chaleureux amicaux et très accueillants cela fait des années que nous allons là pour un 7 jours il y du brochet et de doré la pêche est bonne tout dépend du temps où on y va dans la saison. Les chalets sont propres et confortable.

Hôtes super gentils, chalets rustiques mais tres propres et bien equipés, mais on ne va pas la pour le chalet mais pour la peche. La peche est bonne et plusieurs y vont surtout pour la chasse... il faut passer quelques jours pour obtenir notre quotas et pouvoir en manger du doré...mais l' experience est plaisante.
