Ash Rapids Lodge is accessible exclusively by boat or seaplane from its private landing. For those traveling by air, the nearest international airport is in Winnipeg, Manitoba. From the airport, it is approximately a 2.5-hour drive by rental car or shuttle service to Kenora. By car, follow the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1) east from Winnipeg. Near the destination, turn right onto Kenricia Road, then immediately take the first right onto FR 1. The lodge's landing is located at entrances 1a and 1b, clearly marked by the "Ash Rapids Landing" sign. The landing is a private, fenced property inhabited year-round, offering secure parking for vehicles and trailers. Visitors are asked to drive down to the bottom of the access road to unload luggage before parking their vehicles in the designated areas.

The establishment features two types of accommodation: housekeeping cabins and American Plan packages. Housekeeping cabins are equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette for self-catering stays. Outfitter staff provides daily service for towel changes and trash removal. Guests on the housekeeping plan can also add à la carte services such as guiding, boat rentals, or restaurant meals.
