its thousands of islands are home to a wide variety of species: walleye, muskellunge, crappie, yellow perch, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and lake trout. Guided fishing trips include fish cleaning and a traditional shore lunch. In winter, ice fishing is popular, with portable shelter rentals and a heated fish-cleaning shack available. For hunting, the surrounding territory offers opportunities for white-tailed deer (particularly during the November rut), black bear, and small game (grouse, duck, and goose). Hunting guides are available upon prior reservation. Beyond hunting and fishing, the site allows for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hiking, pickleball, tennis, and wildlife and nature observation.
